I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’ve been accepted as an artist-in-residence at the stunning Château d’Orquevaux in France in January 2026!

It’s an incredible honor to receive the Denis Diderot Grant, and I’m beyond excited that my work will also become part of the château’s prestigious permanent collection.

Grateful for this extraordinary opportunity to create, connect, and be inspired in such a breathtaking setting. Stay tuned for updates on this amazing journey!

Painting, for Varouján Hovakimyan, is an act of discovery — a process of uncovering something that already exists beneath the surface. Blending his backgrounds in art and music, he approaches each piece like a composition, where colors, shapes, lines, and textures move, collide, and eventually find their rhythm.
